Mirvac’s Birkenhead Point Outlet Centre is strategically situated on a prime waterfront not far from Sydney CBD. The asset incorporates a premium outlet centre with over 145 specialty tenancies. It also incorporates 3,50sqm commercial office suites and a marina comprising of 201 berths. The centre was extensively refurbished in 2010 and 2011.
Mirvac extended Codicote’s role in late 2017 to include the managed parking scope for the outlet centre after successful completion of the refurbishment to the mall, including atrium and twelve retail tenancies.
The new state of the art managed parking system has been successfully designed and installed following an extensive procurement period, which resulted in Peloton Constructions being appointed in May 2018 to complete the works by October 2018.
Birkenhead Point Centre Outlet has 1,351 car park spaces across 10 levels of car parking in both the north and south car parks. Improved and enhanced access and egress to the centre was deemed a critically important attribute for Mirvac to continue to deliver their high-quality customer experience at all times. The new slip lane and ramp/exit to the north car park also contributes to the upgraded quality amenity. Additionally, enhanced lighting complete with 60% energy savings, as well as new static signage, line marking, kerb and soffit painting all positively improve the health, safety and well-being of staff, customers and other stakeholders that use the centre.
