The extensive redevelopment of the Pure South Dining Restaurant in Melbourne involved design, demolition, and rebuilding of this prime Southbank property.
Codicote was engaged by Dexus Property Group to appoint and manage the design consultants through concept, town planning, design development and delivery. Our scope of services also included liaison with authorities, especially linked to easements and high voltage power located within and around the site.
Codicote derived and implemented the construction methodology and programme to accommodate a complex build sequence, which included an integrated base build and fit out package using two building contractors and two independent consultant teams. Additionally, Codicote assisted Schiavello in a design management capacity to ensure coordinated and integrated works were captured in the base build design, which resulted in a reduced requirement for CAT 1 works.
Pure South elected to engage their own design consultants and main contractor to carry out their works separate to that of Dexus Property Group. Codicote successfully managed all stakeholders, ensuring that all client led requirements were achieved including design, programme, quality, cost, health, and safety.
The project consisted of the demolition of the existing ground floor slab and temporary steel structure, construction of a two-level steel and concrete structure and roof, integrated façade including fixed glazed aluminium frames and motorised operated bi-folding windows to the ground and first floor, the demolition of existing mechanical, electrical and fire services and installation of a new integrated base build and fit out services system.
