Project Profile

The GPT Group and Keppel REIT embarked on repositioning this asset with a major lobby upgrade. Located at the East end of Melbourne’s CBD, 8 Exhibition Street is separated into two areas, the residential building which is classed as Heritage and the commercial tower which is located in the middle of the site. It also boasts an impressive 4.5 star NABERS energy rating.

8 Exhibition Street is a premium Grade A commercial building that had reached a point in its life cycle where significant capital expenditure was required to retain its premium Grade A credentials and positive property valuations.

The high-quality lobby upgrade included the development of a business lounge (a variety of high-quality lounge and collaborative meeting spaces which will support socialisation and contemporary work practice), a new café facility and foyer expansion.

Codicote was appointed by The GPT Group and Keppel Reit as Development Manager initially to oversee the development of the Concept Plans in line with The GPT Group’s objectives including amenity, function and budget. Our role then transitioned to Client-side Project Manager where we provided Design Management, Construction Advice, Construction Planning and Procurement services throughout the pre-construction phases.
