Project Profile

Located in Southbank, Melbourne the EPIC Apartments project represented the latest high-rise apartment development for the experienced residential developer Central Equity.

EPIC Apartments is a 38-level residential tower with 419 quality apartments over 47,000sqm. The building offers a diverse range of one, two and three bedroom options and a number of penthouse-style sky homes on the top levels.

Building facilities include an on-site concierge and secure parking for 351 cars, with a tennis court, indoor pool and gymnasium adding to the significant benefits enjoyed by residents.

Following the preparation of a detailed design, procurement and construction programme for the tender stage, Built was awarded the project and detailed Contract and Construction programmes were finalised for the construction phase.

Following commencement, an independent monthly status reporting role was assumed with monthly site inspections and programme reviews carried out with the project team. The preparation of detailed reports and progress marked programmes formed part of each monthly report ensuring programme visibility throughout the duration of the project for the Built senior management and the client.

EPIC apartments has been conceived with the aim of minimising energy consumption, with the building design incorporating energy saving initiatives including double glazing, thermal insulation and seals to windows and doors. It has achieved an 8-star Energy Rating.
